Meet Your Bay City Orthodontist
Dr. Lisa Davis is honored to call herself an orthodontist and help people smile every day. She enjoys affecting a person’s image and self-esteem in such a positive way.
Regardless of their age, each one of her patients has something very important to share with her. It is always amazing to see an adolescent patient start treatment and then finish as a young adult with a beautiful smile.
She has proudly served the Great Lakes Bay region since 1996.
Orthodontics is never dull for Dr. Dale Davis. There are always new and interesting people and patients in the office to talk to and the uniqueness of each keeps it fresh. He learns a lot from them and it keeps his practice and life interesting and exciting!
Orthodontics is the culmination of everything Dr. Dale loves. He loves being around people! The adolescent patients keep him young and laughing. He also enjoys the artistic side of orthodontics and creating a beautiful, healthy smile!
Being from the small town of Peoria, Illinois, Dr. Dale found a new small-town home in the Great Lakes Bay Region in 1996.
Having the ability to not only create a beautiful, confident smile but also create lifelong relationships with individuals and families in his hometown community is something unique and special that Dr. Andrew Grillo takes great pride in.
He feels fortunate to have a role as a leader and mentor in the Great Lakes Bay region that served him so well in his youth. He grew up in Midland as the youngest of six children and graduated in 2008 from Midland High School – where he met his wife, Lindsey (Dulude), who he shares a passion for sports and the outdoors with. Lindsey is currently an elementary teacher for Midland Public Schools.
Dr. Grillo is a Board Certified Orthodontist. This is a designation held by only 30% of orthodontists.
Why an Orthodontist in Bay City?
Orthodontist vs. Dentist
An orthodontist is a dentist, but a dentist is not an Orthodontist. All orthodontists are dentists first, but though not every dentist has the qualifications to be an orthodontist. Our doctors continued their formal education for 2 or 3 additional years before receiving the necessary license and certification. As orthodontists, they have spent years studying nothing but how and why to move teeth. This includes what to do, how to plan, and how to execute the appropriate treatment plan.
Why does it matter if you see your Bay City Orthodontist?
Specialists receive additional training to give them the skills needed to deal with more complex orthodontic problems. Dentists receive basic orthodontic training which allows them to perform root canals, extract wisdom teeth, and treat young children who do not need to see an orthodontist yet.
Seeing a specialist like your Bay City orthodontist may change your experience in braces by:
-
- Providing additional treatment options.
-
- Giving you more efficient treatment and visits, because it is the office's primary area of care.
-
- Knowing that you'll receive the best possible outcome on your treatment plan, especially if you have severe bite problems that need to be addressed.
-
- Personal experience treating multiple cases that share your unique concerns
-
- Being seen more quickly, as a family dentist will be focused on longer patient cases or emergencies throughout the day.
-
- You may think it's easier to have your orthodontic work completed by your dentist. Convenience shouldn't be a concern, because you will only be stopping by your Bay City orthodontist's offices every six to eight weeks.
And don't let price be a problem either! Great Lakes Bay Orthodontics is proud to provide affordable treatment in the Bay City area.
